Project REDD+

Located on the Pacajá Farm in the State of Pará, this Project protects over 140,000 hectares of native Amazon vegetation from deforestation and degradation. In doing so, it provides important local environmental benefits as well as serving as a barrier against further Amazonian deforestation and protecting climate regulating services in Brazil and South America. Beyond its environmental impact, the project helps fund community services and provides alternative income opportunities  through sustainable forest management and the use of natural resources.
